GBS - Zero
Price: POA
Last Updated:17/04/2023

The GBS Zero, launched in 2007, has established itself as one of the most popular Seven style cars on the market, having taken much of its inspiration from the legendary Colin Chapman, founder of Lotus Cars. With its concept of a small, lightweight purposeful car, GBS have combined this with modern technologies and practicality to produce a Seven style car for the modern world, yet losing none of the character of the original. The Zero was designed to be as much fun on both the road and track, but GBS offer a number of options to suit the more serious track day enthusiast.

The Zero is offered in three variants, starting with the 175 Calibre and going onto the 190 and 230 Calibre, the figures of the first two representing the maximum BHP output avalable with these models. The 175 and 190 are powered by Ford's dependable 2 litre Duratec and results in 0-60mph (97km/h) times of 4.5 and 4.1 seconds repectively, in their most powerful versions. The 230 calibre has the 2.5 litre Duratec and enables this model to reach 60mph (97km/h) in just 3.5 seconds, very much in supercar territory. All engines are naturally aspirated.

The external bodywork of the car is a mix of GRP & traditional aluminium fitted over a steel space frame chassis, all of which is manufactured by GBS in thier own Factory. They also offer a range of ATR carbon fibre up-grades manufactured by them using the very latest infusion techniques developed in house.

Two body widths are also available depending on Touring or Track usage. Image 8 shows Zeros in racing spec.

They are many opportunities to personalise the car, inside and out, and the options list includes full or partial weather gear and a choice of wheels/tyres etc.

The Zero is also available as a self-build project.
